Carl was a key member of the senior team, founding Jarvis Hotels, a privately funded MBI venture of £167m that, within six years made a full stock market listing valued at £280m.

His chief responsibilities were:

Identifying the key strategic issues.
Coaching and developing a nationwide team of over
5000 employees.
Creating distinctive brands
Profitability and business plans of 30 hotels.
Developing with Sebastian Coe a nationwide chain of
health clubs


Carl has a very broad knowledge of the hotel and leisure industry, working with national tourist boards, American and European travel firms and international hotel companies including Gleneagles Hotels, Ramada International, and Penta Hotels in the Middle East and Europe.

As a specialist advisor in the private equity and corporate finance sector he led the strategic review of an international hotel company, resulting in the debt recovery of £211m.
